Not too long ago I got a chance to interview one of the guys from up-and-coming band, Pop Evil. We discussed pussy, and drugs, just like rock stars should. Read this shit!

Farhaad: Hellllo?
(Silence)
Farhaad: Fuck.
(The phonecall got cut off)
Farhaad: Hello?
Matt: Hey man! Sorry about that, we’re in the middle of nowhere and on a shitty spot on the highway, there’s no reception out here. I wouldn’t be surprised if it kept getting cut off.
Farhaad: Ah, tough shit. So you guys are on tour with…Saliva, is it? Are they cool dudes or what?
Farhaad: Uh…hello? Motherfuck.
(Cut off again. I wasn’t gonna call back, but they decided to use up their minutes.)
Farhaad: Alright man, what city are you guys in now?
Matt: We just played in just south of New Orleans last night..I already forgot the name of the town (haha) and we’re on our way to Mississippi right now..
Farhaad: Oh, the South! Wonderful.. That explains your reception. Anyway, how was the crowd last night?
Matt: Oh, fucking phenomenal man. It’s kind of a small town, they’re not used to getting a lot of big shows, so the crowd was definitely into it.

Farhaad: Since we’re talking about tour stuff, what kind of interviewer would I be if I didn’t ask which one of you got the most tour pussy?
Matt: (Laughs)..Oh man, it’s definitely a toss up between me and our DJ man. We all get our fair share, but I’m blowing these guys out of the water. You can quote me on that.
Farhaad: Hahaha, excellent. If I was your roadie, I’d be the one getting all the bitches. You can quote me on that. What about the tour rider, bro? Do you guys have anything ridiculous on there or what? I was in charge of supplying items on a roster for a certain high-profile band, and they requested things like hookers, blow, and shotguns. It made my life miserable cause they wouldn’t play without that shit.
Matt: (Laughs) We haven’t made it that far! Um, We don’t really ask for a whole lot, you know? Just a few cases of water, some food, and definitely some beer. Gotta have the beer. Maybe we’ll get to the hookers and blow part when we pay some dues.
Farhaad: hahaha. The album is out, and the first single is “Hero,” and it’s doing really well around the country. I think it’s in the top 20 as far as most requested songs on the radio goes.
Matt: Yeah, it really kinda paved the way for us as being noticed nationally. We’ve just been known in the Mid-West, and the East Coast for the most part. But “Hero” definitely put us on everywhere else over the Summer.
Farhaad: This shit is kinda last minute, and I didn’t know too much about the band, but I listened to the album and it sounded cool. This is coming from a guy who is wearing a Notorious B.I.G. shirt right now. But it had a good sound, some great solos in there. For sure I’ll listen to it when I get a chance.
Matt: Yeah, thanks man. I think you’ll find when you get a chance to listen to the album, that we have the ability to go from one style to the next. Like, we’ll go from a hard style, to a softer tempo song. We’re glad we kinda got that freedom to write the album the way we wanted to.
Farhaad: I don’t know if there’s any truth to this, but I may or may not have read that you guys are going on tour with Iron Maiden soon.

Matt: Uhh..You know what? (Laughs) As far as I know, and as far as I can talk, we’re just on tour with Saliva right now. I can’t be 100% sure. I’ve heard rumors about stuff like that too, but you know, we’re just going day by day.
Farhaad: Ahhhhh, spare me your label politics! When are you guys coming to L.A.?! I see a bunch of dates in the Mid-West and East Coast, but no L.A.!
Matt: That’s a good question dude. I hope some time soon. I think we might be headed out that way to do our next music video though. It’s gonna be for our new single “100 In A 55.” We wanna do it out there, cause Michigan is covered in snow. haha.
Farhaad: Alright, so I might wrap this one up soon. I just wanted to say that the last big band to come out of Michigan was Ted Nugent, wasn’t it? You guys might be the next best thing..
Matt: (Laughs) Oh, it’d be an honor. Uncle Ted is a great guy.
Farhaad: Alright, thanks a lot for your time. Hope the rest of the tour goes great for you guys. Good luck with everything!
Matt: Thanks for interviewing us! Well, Me! haha
